How to Use an Epinephrine Injector

If you have experienced a severe allergic reaction previously or are receiving allergen immunotherapy, your physician may prescribe an injectable epinephrine device. As there are different brands of this medication, it is imperative that you carefully read the directions for the device that you have so you know how to use it in the event of an emergency. Your physician will discuss the indications for use of epinephrine, but overall it is used to treat severe allergic reactions.
